How is it Friday already? How is it that I haven't posted in a week?? WTF. Time doesn't just slip by, it sprints past you and leaves you standing on the corner wondering if you just saw the streaks of color in the events that passed. Did I really feel the wind whip by me as it left me standing in it's dust? I think so.
I haven't had much time to blog during the day thanks to the most wonderful news that continues to pour out of the economy. (I hope you can pick up on the sarcasm that's emanating from that sentence) The phones have been non-stop and client meetings are frequent. When there is some free time I find myself wanting to shut the brain off instead of mushing sentences together to form an entry. Then I leave the office and do my other stuff--football practice, run errands, and throw in some exercise here and there--along with the night time ritual of hammering Lil Man about his homework, spending time with the family, and trying to watch some TV. That and I think our computer might actually contain a tiny little man inside that runs around etching out the internal commands in stone. (That means it's really, really slow) That does not make for quick blogging or uploading photos.
So what have I missed telling?
Lil Man had another football game last Saturday. They lost. He still looks cute in his uniform. A little too grown, but still my little man. I got a gnarly tan line while sitting in the bleachers.
This Saturday is going to be chocked full of activities...Bean's first birthday party, Lil Man's football game, and then Solo's 30th birthday party at night. I'm simultaneously tired and giddy thinking about it all. I can't wait for some Bean time and a chance to say hi to some sorely missed friends. I'm also really hoping that Lil Man's team can win this next game as they are currently 0-2. We'll be there cheering the team on regardless of the outcome.
Solo's 30th birthday party is going to be quite the affair with a fortune teller, pajamas, her favorite snacks and foods, drinks, games, and about 24 girls sleeping over at Nina's house. A lot of time, effort, and planning has gone into this party. I'm really hoping it's successful and she enjoys herself. I'm ready for it to be here already.
Hubbs started his new job this past Monday and he likes it so far. His commute has been cut in half from his previous job. Quote from Hubbs: "You know, it's really nice to drive to work and not have your ass fall asleep". Why yes, that must be nice. Happy for you Hubbs.
I think we're mostly caught up now. There are other things on my mind, but I think this post is long enough for today. I hope any of you still out there reading my blog have a wonderful weekend!
