Day of Yay

Saturday was every bit as busy as I thought it would be. It was also very, very fun. I have pictures, of course. I'm sure you expected that. ;)

After the wicked L.A. traffic caught us in it's snares, we were finally released and able to park on the Santa Monica Pier. It was Bean's birthday and we were only going to be able to stay for a short time, but we were there. I was very much looking forward to seeing the little princess in her pink tutu and wishing her a happy first birthday. Even though I'm fully aware that she probably doesn't like me or care who I am, I like to pretend that she does. Ha! ;)

Wan has very nicely let me believe it too with her posted picture of me and the mini birthday princess on her blog. Everyone's favorite monkey has her own set of awesome photos too, but Hubbs and I had already left before the group photo was taken at the end. I was happy to have gotten even a small chance to say hi to my pals, kiss the Bean's chubby cheeks, and partake in the first birthday celebration. I wanted to ride the carousel before we left, but alas there wasn't enough time!

Our next stop was Lil Man's football game. Traffic was gnarly again and we made it to Burbank during half time. He doesn't get much playing time in the beginning of the game so thankfully we didn't miss too much. At least I don't think we did. :/ When we arrived to the game my friend and her son were there already as well as my Mom. My sister and her family showed up later to lend their support to Lil Man too. Very cool! I wasn't expecting all those people to show up.

I didn't take pictures of this past weekend's game because we were too far away from the kids. I'll share a picture from last weekend instead so you can see how incredibly adorable my Lil Man is. Look at that booty!

After the coach did his post-game speech to the kids we booked it out of there and hopped in the car. Thankfully traffic was on our side this time and we were able to get home quickly. I dashed in to the house and grabbed all the things I'd packed up and started loading my car. Of course, I did forget a couple of items, but they weren't a big deal. I'm still smacking my head for not remembering those couple of items, but I guess I had a lot going on so it was understandable. Once the car was packed up I headed out to Nina's house.

I was an hour past the time I thought I'd be there, but there wasn't much I could do. The game ran longer than expected. I was there though and got settled in time before the first guests arrived. It was non stop after that.

I will recap the Slumber Party in another post complete with pictures. It really was a fun night and a great way to celebrate being young when you turn 30. For now I have some things I have to get done and I don't want this post to run on forever. I'll be back soon!

I don't think I'll ever stop being amused by Li'l Man playing football.

The bean totally loves you! At least she smiled in the picture with you. My nieces never smile when they are forced to take pictures with me hehe.

I think it's funny that you went to a sleepover since there was quite obviously no sleeping this weekend!
