Sunday Fun Day on Monday

Yesterday was a busier day than I had anticipated. Productive, but busy.

I left my house to run errands and remember that I was supposed to stop by Nina's house to pick up some scrapbooking stuff (she is a Creative Memories consultant) for another friend who'd I would be seeing at the BBQ. I headed over there and took care of that. I also did a little shopping for one of my gift exchanges. Turns out, I also drew the same person's name on Elfster.com so scrapbooking stuff was an easy idea.

We were there for a little while and then decided to go have lunch together. She packed up her two little ones and Lil' Man and I headed off to meet her at a spot nearby. Our impromptu lunch was good-the food and the company. I seriously love her two little kids and hanging out with them cracks me up. It was also nice to spend some time with Lil' Man where he wasn't pissing me off because of school or something else. It was a good time all around. Simple pleasures. I wish I had pictures to show you, but I don't. So you're going to have to believe me that it was awesome.

After lunch we headed out to Target. I was able to finish purchasing gifts for Hubbs' cousins. The two girls were in our wedding and one of them is his goddaughter. I was also able to get a part of J's Christmas gift (Nina's son) along with some chonies for Lil' Man. The shopping trip was successful. I also scored on an inexpensive floor mat for our porch. The other one was looking really sad and didn't even have the "WELCOME" letters on it anymore. I dug the colors on the new one mostly, and it felt fun. Check it out.

When all that was done I headed back to Nina's house because I forgot to actually bring home the stuff I purchased earlier in the day. *duh* Then we finally went home to drop off our loot, grab a few things, and head out to the BBQ. It was 3:30. The BBQ started at 1:00 and I had planned to be there by 2 or 2:30. Yikes. We got there and plenty of people were still hanging out and having fun so we were good. Here are a few pics to enjoy.

That is a pic of me and marathon baby shower girl. She's due on Saturday. :) The birthday girl chose the cake. Didn't I tell you the guest for the shower would eat up the cutesy-ness of those shower invites? Notice there is no sign of Hubbs. He was home sick. Lil' Man was OK though and traveled with me.

We were home by about 7:30 and then the cleaning began. Hubbs and Lil' Man chipped in and we are almost done with the living room. This makes me feel a lot better. We needed to make room for the tree we're getting next weekend and I didn't want mess when the In-Laws come over. I was also able to wrap up all the gifts to the cousins while catching up on ANTM and Project Runway on TiVo. I will be mailing those gifts off today. Isn't that awesome? So happy to be done with some stuff early!

I have so much scrapbooking supplies at home that they're taking up all the free spaces. The only problem is, I haven't scrapbooked in a long, long time :X

Thanks so much for the compliments. :-) I got the dress at one of the cheapie stores and because I'm a tall drink of water, I wore it with jeans. :-D
