Is it Sunday night already? Where does the time go? I've had an extremely busy weekend and I can hardly believe that it's time to start a new work week already. There is a lot to catch up on but not enough time to give you full details on everything. So here goes the cliff notes version...
Friday--Sadly Friday was not all fun and games. I attended the funeral for Nina's grandpa in the morning and the reception in the afternoon. He passed away a few days before Easter from Cancer. I was grateful to have had a chance to go to the convalescent hospital the Friday before and say good-bye to him. I sat with some of the other family and spent a couple of hours in his room with everyone, and I was there when the Priest came in and read the last rites to him.
I have been friends with Nina since I was 12 years old and in the 7th grade. That's almost 20 years now. We've been through sleep overs and summer flings and a whole list of growing up stories. Homecoming, proms, drill team, cheerleading, graduations, pregnancies, weddings, and all kinds of other life events. I guess funerals are a natural part of it all. It was a nice service filled with people who I've come to know as a second family over the years. It was a special time and I'm glad to have been able to be a part of it. Adiós Chito. Sueño en paz con los ángelitos.
Saturday--Speedy McBridey's bridal shower and bachelorette party were on Saturday. It was a long and awesome day that I will share in more detail complete with pictures. I left the battery for my camera at her sister's house so you'll have to wait.
Sunday--A baby shower and an entire day of being tired as a direct result of Saturday night. No pictures to share from that thanks to the battery issue. Details to come when my brain is less mushy.
Right now it's time for me to go spend some snuggle time with Hubbs. I haven't seem him much lately and I miss him. Until next time...

I certainly didn't give permission for it to be Sunday night already. Hmph.

ditto winnie - you ARE a good friend.
In 1 weekend you had a bachelorette party, a bridal shower, and a baby shower? If only they were for the same person I'd swear you must have gone to high school with me.
