Where the wild things are

Saturday was a day of computer and errands. I got some of the many things on my list accomplished, but not all. I was a little frustrated by that, but oh well. Saturday night I made dinner and we ate at home. Cheeseburger pie was on the menu. This is something that Hubbs' Mom used to make for him when he was growing up so you know there was a bit of pressure behind this deceptively simple dish. It turned out "just like I remembered it from when I was 12" so I guess that's a winner. :)

Sunday I had the pleasure of spending some quality time with Lil Man and my Nephew. We had lunch at Denny's at the boys' request (worst.service.ever!). The food took forever to come to the table and that was after waiting almost 30 minutes to even take our order. Did I mention that we sat next to a very active baby with acid reflux? How do I know she had acid reflux? Well I know because her mother was extra friendly with information after her little princess puked up her lunch at the table. Fucking awesome. I'm not talking baby spittle that can be sopped up by a bib people. Full blown chunks spewed all over the floor about two feet to the left of me. Are you grossed out yet? Welcome to my lunch.

Despite the kid, the service, and the quality of food the boys had a good time. That's what it was all about. And I kept my irritation buried deep inside and let them have fun.

After our Denny's debacle we headed out to our next destination.

As soon as we stepped in the door the boys made quick order of checking out the map to find out where we were headed first.

Then we stopped for a treat. Can you tell how much they love cotton candy?

Some of our animal favorites: Sea Lion, American Alligator, Kangaroo, Zebra, Red Tailed Hawk, and the Gorillas.

My Nephew is a character and he loves to pose for the camera.

He also likes to take pictures.

I love these two boys like you wouldn't believe.
