This was a pretty busy weekend for us. Friday kicked off with a trip to the optometrist for Lil' Man and ended like it has lately: dinner at home and a movie. Hubbs and I watched 300 this week. The first thing Hubbs said as the movie started was, "Holy abs!" and he was right. These guys had rocked out bodies. Crazy muscles.Aside from feeling like I should hit the gym immediately and stay there for the next six months, I thought this movie was visually stimulating. I don't just mean the hard bodies either. It's graphic without really showing you any gory body parts or spewed guts like other graphic movies. It was more along the lines of Sin City, another Frank Miller comic made movie. I liked it and thought it was entertaining.
Saturday was wedding day. Not for us, obviously, but for a friend of mine. It was a long day folks. The wedding ceremony was at a Catholic church in San Dimas at 2:00 p.m. and lasted until about 3:20 p.m. The cocktail hour started at 4 but I was in charge of setting up the gazebo along with a couple other people so we had to head straight over to the country club nearby. I was also assigned photo book nazi duty with another friend of mine. We tried to make it fun, but two hours in the sun in heels is bound to take a toll. My dogs were barkin'. We also missed all the appetizers, drinks, and air conditioning. Aaaah, the things you do for friends.
After all that, we settled in for the reception. Holy crap, there were a lot of people in that room. The bride and groom were happy and in love the entire night and the reception was rambunctious. It made for a pretty fun party. I'm only giving you the good parts of the event because...well...if you don't have something nice to say... ;) I'm really glad the guests of honor enjoyed themselves so much and had the most amazing day. That's what matters most. Congrats to them!
Today we had a fun family/anniversary photo shoot with Crissy and her husband. We walked around downtown Culver City and took advantage of the area's alleys and aesthetics. Hubbs wanted an urban setting versus the beach or something more "pose-y". Crissy is anything but that. She and her husband made it super easy for my guys to relax and have fun and I can't wait to see how they came out.

i didn't know you were taking pics with Crissy? can't wait to see them! :-)
isn't that funny - my hub wanted a more "traditional" setting for our shoot too, like a studio. *yawn* but now that he's seen the teasers, he's had to come to the realization that, yet again, his wife was RIGHT. poor baby. can't wait to see your teasers!
what a good friend you are! looks like the wedding turned out very nicely :)
Are those your shoes? They are uber cute!
I've been stalking Crissy's blog too hehe.
